About me - Alex Storey

About me

I am on my third career aged 36 and that is, freelance journalism. I worked in finance for five years, as a teacher for five years, and now this. Whilst teaching split shifts in Korea, I had so much spare time during the middle of the day (say like a 7-hour lunch break beginning at 11am and finishing at 6pm) that I decided to read all of Shakespeare to see what the fuss was about.

Fascinated by it, I am planning to do an MA in Shakespeare in London this year. Once I have completed that I will hopefully be able to write at a much higher level and earn some money writing.

My objective is getting myself published. And that means off the internet. Being a member of Helium means I am already published on the internet with one article to my name (Jan 10th 2009), but working on more.

WORLD CUP SOCCER 2002! I had to be there and made damn sure I was by leaving England for Seoul 2 years early, just to make sure.
