On Wednesday March 24, 2004, I attended a presentation in the DeSales University's Trexler Library entitled "Boys at the Barre, Examining the Psychosocial Issues of Adolescent Male Dancers" that was presented by Dr. Deborah Williams who has recently completed a 3 year study on 97 boys in dance. The part of the presentation that was quite interesting to me was that Dr. Williams is not a dance teacher, but an assistant professor of Nursing & Health at DeSales U. and the mother of a male ballet dancer.
