I have a BS in Zoology from San Diego State University and a Ph.D in Molecular Biology from University of California, San Diego. I was a Professor of Immunology for 10 years at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago where I performed research in AIDS, Asthma and Arthritis. I have published over 50 scientiifc articles on my research. For the past 6 years I have been at the National Institutes of Health where I oversee the review of AIDS research grants at the Center for Scientific Review. I enjoy reading and writing particularly book reviews.
