Writing...it's where I first learned how to be myself and let the real me shine through. It was the place where I could truly be who I wanted to be and do what I wanted to do. Writing was always and will always be my escape from reality.
I've been writing stories since I was in 3rd grade (which was around the year 1989 or 1990). I started by writing a mock weekly two page gossp paper for the kids in my class which my teacher pinned on her bulletin board for the class to read during down time. From there I began writing short stories inspired by my then favorite author R.L. Stine. I believe my first one was called High School Horror. It was about a boy named Ron who falls asleep in class and has this really strange dream about his classmates being in serious danger and everyone around him disappearing by way of 'accidents' and when he awakens he finds it all coming true, starting with him. I know...sounds familiar right? Trust me...I still have my 4 page story...it's nowhere near as good as Final Destination.
When I turned 16 I discovered the world of the internet and in turn was introduced to the world of fantasy and RPGs (role playing games). I never got much into Dungeons and Dragons and instead stuck with the kind of roleplay that was done only online. I started out writing simplistic one liners and by the time I was 18 I had progressed to writing short paragraphs with full detail. And in that time I managed to get into poetry.
In 1999 my father passed away, leading me to write several poems and stray briefly from fantasy writing, finding no joy in the happiness it once brought. In 2000 I graduated and said farewell to the computers that had once been my world but it would not be long before I would reunite with my passion.
After graduation, while working at a fast food establishment I met my husband whom I married in March of the following year. In November of 2001 I had a baby boy and I found I had something to write about again, and kept a journal. Two years later we bought a computer and I reunited myself with the internet which lead once again to my reunion with the RPG world.
A true gamer at heart (and a nerd or geek if you wish to use such words), I have been enjoying writing for several groups over the years and have strongly developed my writing skills in such a way as to be able to write three and four pages in one sitting.

Although I, admittedly, did not read all one hundred articles on this particular subject, I did skim through a number of them and was surprised at having not found my favorite show featured in anyone's article. I saw that many of you like '24' and 'The Office', two shows the likes of which I have not seen. This is not to say they are not good television shows, I don't doubt that at all. I did try to watch 'The Office' once and found it to be rather annoying, no offense to those who do like it. We are all entitled to our own opinions. I watched '24' and found it to be very intriguing but no...
