: About Me

I have been writing for about 17 years now. It came from an assignment in fifth grade to write poetry and I found I had my paternal grandmothers writing gene in me. From that day on I have been addicted to everything that has to do with writing and reading. I joined the KAC while I was in HS and won an award the first year I was a member on a poetry piece . I have some publishing of my poetry in various places. I collect several authors and a ton of writing stuff. I have had poetry published when I was younger but I guess more or less as I got older I started to question my own abilities. I didn't think I was good enough and wasn't ready to be rejected. It took me kicking myself to say it really is their loss if they say no. Writing is my passion and not just a hobby to me. I live my life around my writing and love challenges, learning new things, researching, editing and most of all the writing. I have a huge portfolio of poetry, have a few books outlined and the more I have going on the easier it is for me to work as weird as it seems. I am very organized and take pride in it. I take all work seriously but have a great sense of humor. I have life experience way beyond my years and have been there and back. Which just makes my passion stronger. I take pride in my work and have to make sure it is as perfect as it can be before it leaves me. I write because I ache to write, I yearn to write and I can't live without writing. I haven't written much recently due to being pregnant and sick but am trying to get back into it now that I have months before the baby is born and life becomes hectic again.

I have a wonderful home life that allows me to be with our pets, beautiful daughter,and the baby on the way plus write. When I am not writing of course my number one priority is my family. We spend all our free time together or hanging out. I also make jewelry, do calligraphy, personalized poetry and dabble in many other crafts. I LOVE to collect books, journals and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. I love change and change often. Usually my hair or a tattoo or piercing. Or I just write, write, write. I love music and driving to clear my head. Small things please me and life is way too short to freak over the small stuff. Parenting & Pregnancy > Pregnancy Differences encountered during a second pregnancy

I have always heard that every pregnancy was different and that many times your second one is easier and flies by faster. However, in my case it is the total opposite. Our first child will be eleven years old when our second is born. I am not even out of my first trimester yet and have had significant differences than my first pregnancy.
