Writer since 2nd grade. First published in Jack & Jill magazine in 1964. Monthly column on pet care for main local newspaper during 90s. Corporate writer 1993-1998. Freelance writer for health-related issues.
Late life (?) career change after downtime for healing from childhood issues. Earned M.A. in Counseling to become psychotherapist. Medical "disaster" in Summer 2007 caused pause in career as therapist where I had experience helping survivors of trauma on their healing journey.
September 2008 began blogs to focus on various aspects of a particularly insidious form of child abuse. Plan to use writing skills as survivor and psychotherapist to educate and advocate on behalf of children being drawn into the world of child porn and exploitation.
Desire to educate re gynecological health issues so women can advocate for their best health care. Had I been aware, I would have made different decisions and avoided a nearly tragic medical outcome. Women need to know about pelvic prolapse.
Plans to collaborate with psychologist on book to help therapists treating survivors of early childhood abuse resulting in dissociative disorders.

Through my work as a psychotherapist with both adult and child survivors of early childhood abuse, it has become apparent that child predators insidiously and calculatedly use a double language. Innocent or preposterous terms are used by the predator while abusing a child or placing a child in an abusive situation. A young child has no language for such acts and so uses words and terms of the abuser. One of my clients was a pre-school boy in the primary care of his biological mother. The biological father and his wife were concerned about odd behavior when they had custody for the summer. ...
