My name is Lizzy Lamke.
I began writing when I was only 10 years old with my first book of poems, "The Sound of You".
From there on my teacher told me that I had a magestic sence for poetry and creative writing. From then on i began writing about crushes I had at school and just regular things i saw facinating.
When I moved to North Carolina a few months ago, I left someone very dear to my heart. I cried, and cried, but still had to accept that i would never see him again.
So, to attempt to cope with this, I began writing these beautiful love poems about him, comparing him to others in my life, and just plain stating that I miss him dearly.
In doing this, it has helped me tremendously and realize that I will find him someday.
My writing gave me the hope i needed to cope!

If I were Gone Empty and alone I wonder about my life Is it really worth the effort Of battling through this strife Everyone I once knew Has gone and left me astray I wonder if they'd notice If i were gone the next day Maybe I'll run away from it all Though physically I must stay It's hard 'cause life's so depressing Living like this everyday Maybe the problem is set there The battle is that I live So if I simply subtract myself from the whole My death is the product I give But will that make everything better Or just another empty space Because if I were gone, no one would know All memori...
