Since, this is my first stab at trying to write professionally, I don't have any credentials. That being said.

Hi, my name is EJ Englin and I am a freethinking rationalist with an eye on politics, religion and science education in America. My articles will cross all these categories plus creative writing, and basic computer use.

My favorite hobbies (besides writing) are chatting about ridiculous articles on the web and reading. I have a blog that I'm using just to get frustration out, but I'm using Helium to further my career as a writer and scientist.

to understand everything I can about the world and then to write about it.

to write the great American Novel, and then do nothing.

going to my first library and then getting my first library card. Awesome day!

Why I write ...

because I think I have a unique take on life.

was teaching literacy to middle school kids (I don't count the call center. ICK!)

In society we don the faces we think are most appropriate for the life we want lead. We tread lightly where people's sensibilities are concerned. We speak the language others speak. We immolate, we imitate, we contrive and we dissemble. Subterfuge is our drink of choice and we imbibe liberally.
