In 2007 I completed my Literature Degree with the Open University. This entailed five years of combining study from home while working or being a mum. I greatly enjoyed the experience and have become much more focused and less of a procrastinator as there is really very little opportunity to navel-gaze when embarking on home study. I am currently studying for a MA degree in literature with the same university. I would dearly love to begin developing a career in writing as well as developing my passion for digital photography. My ultimate aim is to be able to build a portfolio-style career so that I can be there for my daughter but also to develop myself personally and professionally. I want her to see that the possibilities are endless!

Oh my God...learning to drive was one of the most hideous and depressing ongoing episodes of my life. My father was a driving instructor during this period and basically that was the root of the problem. As a perfectionist my father was rather disinclined to comprehend how anyone could possibly be incapable of following his clipped and precise instructions.
