: About Me

Hello,

I am a retired mom, mother-in-law and mom-mom who is proud in every since of those titles.

I've been in the workforce wilderness for nearly 40 years.  I have a business degree and have experienced owning my own business.  Though I've enjoyed most of my many careers...I don't believe in completely retiring.  I've always believed that living another chapter of my life would be fulfilling and 'where it's at'...and is here to give testimony of it's truth.  I've spent most of my working years in the telecommunications field, moved on to become a baker at a well-established cafe, and have sub-taught every grade level in the public school system.  I've worn a number of hats before deciding to do more of what I enjoy doing...and that is writing.

I love the Lord.  I'm a lover of life, love and desire the same in others.  I've matured to realize that one cannot live happily with anyone else until they have learned and mastered living happily alone with themselves; having a 'live and let live' mentality.

I love to write prose, and is no slouch when it comes to short stories and personal experiences others may benefit from.  I enjoy reading good material, and can usually tell how good it is by how writers captivate their reading audiences in the very first paragraph.

I enjoy the simple things in life, and can find beauty in everyone and everything on earth.  I avoid confusion as much as possible due to what I've learned about human nature.  I make all attempts to maintain a quiet spirit.  

I'm glad to be part of Helium, and look forward to future readings and writings on the site.

My parents always told me ...

to be self-sufficient...but, not overly independent.

My childhood ambition ...

to be a cut above the average diamond...not better THAN

My favorite memory ...

At the age of 5...my father did not own a car. I would follow him out the door (after he left for work), and up the street for several blocks every morning. He would look back, and notice I was there, and bring me back home to mother. I later learned to watch him from the window until he was no longer in site.

My first job ...

was a clerk at Sears during my senior year in HS.

My best moment ...

I have a number of 'best moments'. My most memorable one is having a one-on-one encounter with the Holy Spirit...my moment of conversion.

My inspiration ...

the Word of God, and my grandchildren
