About me - Daniel Tsunekawa

About me

Funny you should ask, I was just wondering what exactly there is about me. Well for starters, I am a poor college student from California. I enjoy playing hockey, reading, roadtripping, watching movies, watching nature, trying new things and exploring new places.

Writing for me is an escape from the ordinary. It allows me to narrate, iterate, examine, explain, complain. I actually started writing in my boring classes, I would write down what I thought of the teachers and the people in the front row (apologies to anyone who sits or sat there). After a few pages full of frustration and complaints I decided that it was time to find a few new subjects and emotions to write about. Today I simply like writing about living. I like describing experiences and interactions that inspire me. I enjoy writing about dreams of the future and what I want to do in the coming years.

From writing I have definitely learned a lot about myself. I have learned about my ambitions, strengths, weaknesses, and some of my fears. Every time I sit down to write, I discover new things about me, and how I see the world in comparison to those around me. Most importantly I believe that writing is the best way for me to process my thoughts. The more I write about something the more clear it becomes to me and the better I understand it.

I wish I could be involved in diet advertising or one month gym memberships for the first thirty days of the New Year. Yet as we approach the end of this year and the beginning of another, it is important to reflect on our lives and desire to better ourselves. So how can we make resolutions for ourselves...
