I'm a girl with a freelance dream.
It's been my goal almost as far back as I can remember to be a writer, so Helium seems like a good opportunity to expand. Splitting my life between Norway and the US taught me to view things from multiple perspectives, which has been invaluable to my writing.
I grew up believing that Photoshop was the only computer game there was, so in addition to writing, I do a lot of photo editing and graphic design work. I operate on the premise that if there is something I can't do, then I can find a way to learn how to do it! Well, there are some exceptions... like learning Arabic and overcoming my dog phobia.
It's kind of hard to separate what I do for work and what I do for fun because I strive to profit from what I love doing. But some things I enjoy doing that I don't use in a work context are creating delicious food, enjoying music, having meaningful conversations and being creative in ordinary situations.
Life without learning seems pretty sad, so I'm so grateful that the Internet allows us to share what we know with each other!
