About me - Dani Boi

About me

I live in northwest Alabama, USA with my lovely wife Dale and 10 year-old son Benjamin. Enjoy cooking, photography, music (listening, performing, and recording), and now this relatively new hobby of writing. Before I became immersed in the Bible I never had much to write about. Now I can't help but write.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

Truth (and Justice).

I know too much about ...

Nothing

My parents always told me ...

The more you know, the more you realise you don't know. (And you know less about more than you know.)

My childhood ambition ...

To meet one of those Champions of Truth and Justice. Yeah! But that's incredible to us grown-ups, right?

My favorite memory ...

Camping and fishing with my Grampa.

Why I write ...

The muse will not let me rest until she's given form.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

My Master source is The Bible, in which I believe the classic masterpieces are rooted. Also interested in present day works that seem to be based on biblical themes.

My first job ...

Shoe shine boy

My best moment ...

When I first realized (that is, perceived as real) the intent and extent of the Kingdom of God.

My inspiration ...

I could point to some famous sports figure or movie star. Or I could say that a strong and positive self image keeps me hopeful and enthusiastic. No, none of that. The Bible is the inspired word of God, and He has graciously sent His gift of love to us down through the ages. It gives insight, and from what I've seen, it really does contain "tidings of great joy".

In iron shackles kneeled A people forced to yield, Assigned a life of torment, grief, and shame. Down through the years they served the proud, Served the arrogant and loud. Their backs were bent, their heads were bowed, Until deliverance came. The burning issue here discloses God's own heart as He spoke to Moses Of the cruel injustice in that day, "I have a plan to set them free. They'll follow you, you follow Me. They're not to fear the cross they'll see, But trust me all the way." Black folks love the blues; they've walked in those shoes. The tracks can still be seen across the sand. Now...
