About me - Marvina Randle

About me

I am a middle aged housewife living in a rural community at the base of Mt. Adams in the Cascade mountain range of southern Washington. I am a mother of two grown daughters and one grown stepdaughter, each with unique challenges and accomplishments. I am a 16 year member of N.A.L.A. (National Association of Legal Assistants) but have not been employed by an attorney or law firm for 14 years. I chose family and small town security over career and returned to the town I grew up in after a short but rewarding career in the legal field. I continue to complete all required legal education credits to keep current on legal issues and procedures. I have a expanded understanding of how laws are created, the process for enforcement, the punishments for violations, and how our court system(s) work, both civil and criminal. After returning to my home town I was assaulted by a over zealous sheriff's deputy. After receiving a not guilty verdict on his false claims against me, I spent the following seven years managing a civil case which resulted in a reasonable settlement. Since returning to my hometown we built a new home, doing every process of the building ourselves. A humble lifestyle and hard work left us with a beautiful home we own, one of the best views I have seen in all my travels, and now the possibility of sharing my knowledge and experience with other Helium contributors. I have been from North Pole Alaska to central Mexico and through 29 states all by automobile and all on a budget. I look forward to sharing some of these adventures as well as my opinion on life, law, and politics.
