About me

My name is Shell Martin. Many people automatically rhyme it with Bell and call me Shell Bell. This is particularly funny since my maiden name is Bell. We have a great big old house in a great neighborhood in Tacoma, WA. I am 37 and have been married to my wonderful husband Dave for 19 years. We have 5 kids at home right now. Russell 15, Daniel 14, Avery 12, Grayden 8, and Josiah 4. !

I am currently a stay at home mom. My undergrad degree is in Business Admin from UOP and until five years ago, I owned my own business. I have a Masters in Education but now I totally devote my time to the kids and homeschooling.

I am the first to admit that homeschooling is a lifestyle and we, as such a large family, are not normal.

We have a small zoo, 5 dogs, 6 cats, 22 birds (Cockatiels, Diamond Doves, Ringneck Doves, 4 Nanday Conures, and 2 Sun Conures, and a Congo African Grey, a Greenwing Macaw, and a Blue and Gold Macaw.

A point of interest- We own a GEM car. It is an all electric car that plugs into a standard outlet to charge. Check them out at www.gemcar.com
