: About Me

Once, I had a passion for writing and planned to become a professional writer. The press and rush of the world and other demands on my time did not afford me the moments I needed to pursue this dream.

My love of writing came from a strange turn of events. I was studying in college to enter an engineering program. An English teacher did not return my paper to me because she felt I must have plagiarized. After some discussion, she trusted that it was my own work and a whole new world opened before. I redirected myself to improve my talents in writing. Aware that I needed means to support my upcoming family, I looked for a education-career path that would meld my other interests with my writing. I decided to follow the route to be a technical writer, believing that it would allow me to explore my writing talents some more.

When I finished my education, I seized upon the first opportunity, which was to become a design editor for a scientific journal. I also started a family. My desire to become a professional writer was overcome by day-to-day living and remained in the back of my mind, hoping for an opening.

Helium seems like a wonderful opportunity. I hope that it will be fruitful.
