I was born, bred and live in Africa. I have travelled around the world but decided that, having had the opportunity to gain advanced education, I will stay in Africa contributing what I can to this continent of so much promise and so little progress.
I love writing. The first $15 I ever earned was in winning a magazine write-in competition at the age of 13. I have written several short stories for magazines since then, including one that was cited by Malaba M.Z in his article in the The Journal of Commonwealth Literature, Vol. 23, No. 2, 144-161 (1988).
I am excited about engineering, science and strategy. My first BSc is in mining engineering, my MSc is in strategic management and next year I should finish a DPhil in Business Administration - studying national innovation systems. I want to know why such a large proportion of the world is poor and why we seem unable to innovate our way out of poverty.For entertainment, I am doing a BSc in Computer Science - finishing next year also.
Most weekends my wife, two daughters and I go to our small goat ranch and watch the beautiful african sunset - that inpires frenzied writing.
