Hi, my name is David McClain. I am a recent exile from the great state of Texas, now residing in the frozen heartland of Missouri. If I have learned nothing else since moving here, I at least now understand what all those numbers on the thermometer, below the 50 degree mark, are for.
When not struggling to stay warm, or working my "day Job" at Wal-Mart, I can be found here at the computer writing my short stories and essays. I have published a couple of short stories in different, obscure magazines so far and within the next few months I am publishing a collection of short stories called: Tales of the Storyteller.
I am married to a wonderful lady, Melinda and I have five grown children, each of whom I am proud of. My children have fulfilled every parents dream for their kids: They all live on their own and not with me anymore..."WAY TO GO KIDS!"
When not writing opinion pieces, my writing tends to be of the humorous variety, or what I sometimes refer to "Twilight Zone" types of stories...I love a good twist.
If anyone is interested in reading some of my stories, please feel free to visit my Portfolio at Writing.Com.
