: About Me

I am a mother of two, a wife, a business owner, a teacher, and I love to read about anything and everything and writing is one of my favorite past times. I have worked in many capacities that utilized my writing skills to include marketing, research and development, technical writing and now I freelance to write content for websites. I've been teaching academic and creative writing to middle and high school students for over ten years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends hiking and skiing in the mountains and sunning on any beach - because they are all beautiful! I love the outdoors and hope to someday live in the mountains a way from the hustle and busltle of city life. My biggest pet peeve is superficial integrity and people who continually complain about what they don't like but don't do anything about it! Lastly, I love helping others and am involved in many outreach programs. Giving back to our community is the best way to affect positive influence. My favorite mantra is "Walk the talk".

The joy of research, creativity and process it takes to express myself on paper.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Lately, my focus has been on politics. I listen to the news, BBC mostly, I listen to all kinds of music, oldies, contemporary, alternative, and I will always love Rock and Roll! I don't get through a day without hip hop. I love to watch comedy and mystery T.V. with the occasional history channel special or documentary. I like to read about true stories, spiritual enlightenment, historical fiction, mysteries, political memoirs and anything that peaks my interest.

My first job ...

While I was in high school I got a job bussing tables at the local steak place. After college, I worked in equipment marketing as a customer service representative for Tymshare, Inc.

My best moment ...

Does it only have to be one? I can't limit it to one, so I will list three...my marriage to my husband, my best friend and spouse, the birth of my son and finally the birth of my daughter which was equally as miraculous!

My inspiration ...

Life! I know it's corny, but I love the whole process of growing, learning, loving, and changing with each new day. I'm inspired by the blessings of each day.
