I'm on this site because I want to learn from other writers, and I've spotted many excellent ones already! Being a "newbie" on this site, I'm certain I'll change my bio numerous times until I'm satisfied with it! I'm an avid reader, and seem to have a knack for spotting novels that will become the next Hollywood Hit. If I see that potential here, I'll definitely speak up!
I have a Bachelor's in Visual Communication (with a concentration in Digital Design), and a Minor in Business Administration. I've kept journals for most of my life, so writing has always been a part of my life, but my art has been my obsession.
I see art in nearly everything, and feel quite fortunate my mind views the world in this way. I create stained glass (in the Tiffany, or Copper Foil Method) and incorporate many organic elements into the glass creations. Along with sketching, I also paint in Acrylics, Watercolor, and Oils, I sculpt with polymer clay, and I create fine jewelry (and costume jewelry, as well). I do possess an eye for design (thank heavens, or my degree would be worthless!) and pursue graphic design on a part-time basis....with thoughts of going into it full-time.
For the last 11 years I've worked in Special Education at a local school district. My position with the School District is a mystery to many, concerning the degree I hold! However, I simply fell in love with my students, and thoroughly enjoy teaching them the skills they'll need to survive in this world. Besides, it's really wonderful to start every work day with a room full of hugs.

There are numerous pros and cons over processed foods. The sheer convenience of processed foods is hard to argue, however. Alas, doesn't there always seems to be a "trade-off" for the sake of convenience? While stabilizing these foods, whether it's canned, boxed, frozen, or refrigerated, manufacturers can use up to six thousand chemicals in the process. While many of us appreciate the simplicity of adding only milk or water to a package of mix, there is usually a laundry list of chemicals used to give us that convenience. Look at the package ingredients, if you can't pronounce it, do you r...
