I can't really remember a time I wasn't working with words in some capacity or another. In junior high and high school I wrote stories about my friends, instead of taking notes. As a junior I restarted the school's newspaper, controlling all the content - it's still functioning today.
I majored in journalism in college, and realized quickly how little I really knew about this craft. I picked up the skills quickly, working at the school paper and interning over the summers. After graduation I moved to New York and worked in the city for several years for three different publications.
When I moved back to the midwest I took up freelancing full time. Now my work is featured on RelateMag.com, SparkleShelf.com and 2Sense Online. I'm also a freelance content editor for Societe Magazine. In the past my work has appeared in the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune.
Obviously, I write on a wide variety of topics including real estate, business, beauty, fashion, entertainment, etc...
