: About Me

Who is this interesting writer you ask?

First and foremost I'm married to a great gal for over 35 years. I have two beautiful children, both ladies, and a dog also of the female gender. Since all the inhabitants in my house just happen to be women, add this to that list: Every picture hanging in my house has a woman or women as its subject! Almost sounds like a harem wouldn't you say? The difference is, I'm not the boss. Any man living with that many women needs an outlet, and writing is mine! All in all, it's good to be surrounded by the ladies.

I graduated with a B.S. from Brooklyn College in the great state of New York, (though I now live in New Jersey) went on to Queens College for graduate work and played professional baseball back in '67-68. I have certification in fitness training and I stay in shape just to keep up with my girls.

One of my proudest achievements was developing (with the help of my daughter), a simple learning program to help elementary school children increase their focusing and concentration abilities, leading to better memory skills. It is a gimmick for sure and it is so simple in design it almost seems impossible to be effective. But it is! It promotes self-motivation because it follows proven psychological principles used to create focus and concentration. If you understand how children use their imagination and curiosity when they play, you will understand how it works when they use my learning tool in their classroom. My in-class test results show that children increased grades and loved using it. I hope someday every elementary student has one on their finger. I am an intellectual cynic by nature (I'll let you figure that one out) and I would love to find a way to make writing pay dividends. If you asked me what occupation I would most want, hands down it wound be Guy Fieri's job on the Food Network, Diners. Drive-in's and Dives! How great is his job! Going from state to state, sampling foods from the best eateries throughout the country, eating your way across America, and getting paid to do it! That's not a job.. that's heaven!

A-Rod Diculous Raking Over The Coals of a Talented Athlete I have never met Alex Rodriguez personally, so I cannot be accused of favoritism. But my love of the game of baseball compels me to address the cloud that now surrounds him and quite possibly the game. I do not believe the game in and of itself will be hurt. The game will rise above controversy because it is a game played by humans with talent and flaws and those that know and love the game will understand the imperfections that all humans possess. The medical profession has had its insane doctors as well and yet it too survives it...
