I live in Central Wisconsin in an area that is frequented by tourists. It is Nature's secret that I have found in my later years. I was born in Italy, but grew up in Chicago. One of my favorite writers growing up was MIke Royko, who wrote for the Chicago Sun Times.
Writing is a passion that I kept on a back burner for many years while pursuing my career in music. I am a musician and songwriter, and did this for a living for many years while living in Chicago.
I am self employed, and while I still perform and am deeply involved in music, I have much more free time to devote to my writing. I enjoy writing poetry, but I am drawn to stories of my youth in Chicago. I have had articles published in magazines and newspapers, and often I write under different names so that I do not get catergorized.
Helium is a wonderful outlet for me, and it allows amateur and professional writers to interact, so whichever you are, Helium is a great place to be!
