About me

April is a Writer and Mixed Media Artist living in Georgia. Writing and creating has been April's passion since childhood, creating a solid foundation for her endeavors in the literary and artistic community.

April currently writes for her blog, "Whimsy", as well as several Mental Health Awareness groups, including GMHC (Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network, Inc.), DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance ) and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).  In October, April was named the finalist in AstraZeneca's national essay contest.  This accomplishment has enabled April's work to be published in several publications and various AstraZeneca media properties and social media outlets.

April credits her family as her main source of inspiration, touting her five year old daughter as her "Live-in Muse". April's ideal lifetime achievement is remaining authentic and grounded without compromising her Truth.
