My name is Leah Rose. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School in 1996. I attended Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge where I earned a Bachelors of Science in Pyschology with a minor in Sociology. During my years at LSU I became a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Golden Key National Honor Society.
In the year 2000 I moved to Arlington, Virginia to attend school at George Washington University. I briefly pursued a Masters degree in Human Resources Management before choosing to pursue a degree in Environmental Policy. Due to my interest in public policy and politics I chose to pursue a Master of Arts in Environmental Policy after my first semester of graduate school. I graduated in May 2005.
During my time as a student at George Washington University I was employed full time at the American Chemistry Council (ACC), a trade association representing the chemical industry. I began working at the ACC as a staff associate. I provided administrative assistance to several managers of chemical-specific industry consortia. After two years I was promoted to Senior Associate and then one year later to a Coordinator. As a Coordinator I performed writing tasks to facilitate the activities of the industry consortias. Writing tasks ranged from preparing industry comments for regulatory proceedings to public relations materials for chemicals and products.
In February 2006 I was hired as a Program Coordinator for the Formaldehyde Council, Inc. (FCI). At the FCI I assisted the Executive director in managing the activities of the organization's Science & Regulatory, Communications and Product Stewardship committees. I played a key role in managing state legislative and regulatory issues for the organization. I left the organization as a Director of Communications. As the Director of Communications I facilitated the organization's internal communications program, worked with external consultants and facilitated communications with regulatory agencys and government officials.
In May 2008 I became a Communications Consultant for the FCI. Since that time I have assisted the Executive Director in developing presentations for symposia and Board meetings. I am here to find more work as a consultant in the communications industry.

The sun is one of many factors influencing Earth's climate. Humans have significantly altered the Earth's arable land and oceans during the modern period. The rapid expansion of industrial civilization in the 20th century resulted in significant ecological dislocations. In the late 20th century the hypothesis that carbon dioxide emissions from human activity were magnifying the Earth's natural greenhouse effect became dominant.
