: About Me

I'm a writer. I have a right to write. That's my motto and I stand by it. Everything I write may not be welcomed by all but I use my gift every chance I get. My passion is poetry, especially rhyming poetry, so you'll often find me using rhyme in not only poems but in the stories I write. I believe using rhyme is a way for people to better understand what's being said or told.

I've been writing since about 1st grade when we had to write a poem for reading and my teacher loved it. Every since then I've been using poetry to encourage and inspire others. I love being among other writers because it increases my creativity.

My goal is to see all of my works in print. I anxiously wait for the day I receive that phone call telling me my manuscript has been accepted for publication. I especially want my children stories to find a home because I look forward to reading my books in schools. I would also love to teach creative writing in the public school system as I don't believe there are enought arts programs for our children to partake in. Art is as important as reading and math and I hate that fact that the arts have taken a back seat to all the other subjects.

My other hobbies include creating handmade greeting cards, photography, and computers.
