: About Me

I am a wife and mother of five who recently resigned from a ten year tenure as Program Director for an educational program geared towards breaking social, academic and professional barriers experienced by under-serviced youth and their families.

I resigned from the position to relocate; focus more on my family and their needs; jumpstart my career as a writer; and expand my opportunities as an education consultant and youth advocate. I am currently looking to publish my children's books and have been freelancing with internet companies like Helium, Guru and Elance since 2008.

My most recent venture includes a book similar to the Chicken Soup for the Soul collector's series. It includes a series of short stories about my life experiences and views on selected topics including politics, motherhood, hip-hop, violence, religion and more.
