About me - Rebecca K.

About me

I was born and raised in P.A. Most of my time was devoted to anything horse related. I showed my Quarter Horse mare Abby in hunt-seat. Then I attended Penn State and majored in journalism. Shortly after graduation in 2005, I moved to M.N to be with my fiance.

We live on a farmland that has been in my husband's family for many, many years. Cattle and horses are our main focus and we also grow our own grains to feed them. I really enjoy rural life and couldn't imagine a much prettier place to live.

Our son was born in 2007. He is such a joy to all who know him. My horsing around has tapered down somewhat, but I suspect we'll be riding the hooves off of our Appaloosas as soon as he learns to ride. He loves "fixing" tractors and anything with an engine. We now also have a little girl born 2009 and a new little brother born in summer of 2011. Here's to hoping at least one of the kids is horse crazy!

I enjoy posting on this website because it provides an interesting creative outlet on many topics. Thanks for viewing my articles.

I've also started a blog on farm stories and mishaps at http://talesfromdownonthefarm.blogspot.com/  Feel free to check it out

Pets & Animals > Horses (Other) How to tell if you are ready to own a horse
