: About Me

I am a courageous woman with a nostalgic story to tell. I believe in fairy tales and am still waiting to write the happy ending chapter of my life. I have prevailed through many storms that have passed over me and have been able to see the rainbow. I still have countless numbers of dreams that have been placed on hold.

I once was a girl that was searching for a purpose in my life. I found that purpose 16 years ago on Valentines Day when my little cupid boy with a kindred spirit was born. I was blessed 3 years later when an array of sunshine was given to me within my blue-eyed, dimpled daughter with a contagious smile. I have raised two children, who are now phenomenal teenagers, as a single parent. I am a devoted mother that has put my life on hold to cherish every single moment with my children. Being a mother is my most proudest moment, and a title that I do not take for granted.

I am a Southern girl with genuine intentions. I have a strong faith in God. I am creative by nature and eager to unleash the writer that resides inside. I am girlie girl, but not the high maintenance type. I am most comfortable in flip flops and pony tails, but still like to play dress-up and become glamorous. I have a wide variety of interests. I was raised by a line of tenacious women who have contributed to my morals and values. I have meaningful relationships with my family and friends. I treasure those relationships, because they are the ones who have stood in my corner and caught the rigid curve balls that life has thrown my way. The are my fans and the encouragement behind my quest to follow my dreams.

I once was a troubled girl, trying to find the sole purpose of my life. I have endeavored a life of heartache and strife. I had to close those chapters tightly and tell that girl goodbye, so that this women of strength could come in and occupy.

is the birth of my children and now meeting Prince Charming....

Why I write ...

because writing is therapeudic and allows all my dreams to become a reality.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I am diverse, and enjoy a variety of different books, movies and music.

My first job ...

was a cashier at Randall's grocery store.

My best moment ...

other than watching my children grow up, it was when I knew that my NOW husband was my soul mate...the BEST is yet to come!

My inspiration ...

my Gammaw, who passed away on April 9th, 2010...she was my person and I will always hear her inspiring words....Love you Gammaw.
