I'm a retired contractor, age 62, who layed down the tools and picked-up the pen. Why? Because I love to read and have always envied people who could write. The ones who could sweep me away to far off places full of mystery, and adventure. An art many strive for but few achieve. Perhaps someday I'll possess that talent.
I joined the Army at 17, straight out of high school, served three years, one of which was in Vietnam; the 1st Cav. Came home, got married and went into business with my father-in-law, a building contractor. Built a successful remodeling business and never looked back.
I'm married to the greatest lady in the world and we have have five fantastic children, two of which are career military. All completed college successfully. Plus four grand kids to lighten up my life.
Joined Helium for the challenge and the fact that my peers will let me know how far I have to go in learning how the write. There are no better judges.
I currently hooked up with a songwriters association-I play guitar and write lyric.
