I was born in Roswell, NM on an Air Force Base, the 2nd of 4 children. And though I love the south, my heart has stayed near our home base of Westborough, MA. Being a military brat meant changing location, schools, and friends often. Unfortunately that means no close ties; we learned how to make friends, but were never in one place long enough to learn how to keep them. Yes, that means I am a social misfit, but most of us are, aren't we?
My 5th grade teacher discovered my writing talent when we were stationed near Pottsboro, TX, and I have had a burning desire to write ever since.
Oh, how I loved Texas, it was a great place for youngsters to explore, but eventually we ended up back in Westborough. Now in my 50's with 4 children, 3 grandsons, and a dog, I am finally giving-in to that burning desire. Poetry is my first (writing) love, the 2nd being children's literature.
