I am a happily married mother of 3 sons and 1 grandson, with another on the way. I have always loved writing, but until finding out about Helium, I have never shown anyone what I write.
I am lucky to live in one of the worlds best countries, Australia, and thank god for that fact whenever I see or hear the news.
I am a spelling Nazi, and constantly comment to others about the poor spelling or grammar I see or hear. One of my pet hates is advertising with incorrect spelling!
I love being a mother, today, but as anyone with boys knows, that feeling changes from day to day. I tried my best with my kids, as most of us do, but question my methods at times, and have been known to mumble to my husband "Where did we go wrong?"
I have a fantastic, gentle, supportive husband who would back me in almost anything I wanted to do. He is my rock, and I love him to death.
I loved school, didn't do anything exceptional whilst there, except represent the state side for softball. My favourite subjects were Maths and English, I blitzed everyone in the spelling bees every Friday afternoon, and got to leave early!
I have a 3 year old purebred Staffordshire bullterrier named Spud who is almost a person! I love my dog so much and he gets away with murder with me. He cost us hundreds of dollars to buy, then thousands since! He had entropion, which is the inversion or turning inward of the border of the eyelid against the eyeball. It meant he had to have cosmetic surgery on his eyes at a young age and can't be used to breed as the condition is hereditary. He also has a narrow bottom jaw and sensitive stomach and skin, so he is a reject but I love him.
My goal is to learn more about writing and earning on Helium, and maybe take my love of writing one step further and earn money for it. I would love to be able to work from home.

Life
Ok, I admit it- I am a fashion tragic. I have absolutely no idea what to wear or how to dress appropriately for my age. I do know what to slop around home in, where no one can see me, except my poor husband, who by now must surely be sick of coming home to me in tracksuit pants! I have never had a sense of style or fashion. To me, getting "dressed up" meant putting on a clean and tidy shirt with my jeans, instead of a t-shirt or singlet. I am not a very feminine woman. I am not mannish, but I am not a glamorous, dainty thing who glides around the room either. I am in my late 40's, and I th...
