Writing poetry and short stories has been something that I have been doing since childhood. Some of it is good, and some the trash can would possibly spit out. Living in Minnesota gives me a perfect environment to get lost in with my thoughts, pen and paper.
I have 3 wonderful men in my life, my husband and 2 sons who are 12 years apart in age. Being the only female in the house at times puts me at a great advantage, they eat what I cook and never complain about my decorating skills.

When pondering if our society has its priorities mixed up we must ask ourselves "what society" before we can continue. I can of course only focus on the society in which I am a part of and that is American society. Many times I believe that our society sets people up to fail. We concentrate so much on success yet we do not know how to measure our own success. Is it money? Is it fame? Is it spiritual? Is it what degree we hold?
