I was born and raised in the Kansas City area, but relocated to the Phoenix area in 2000. Arizona has since become my home. I love living in the Southwest and I especially enjoy the cultural diversity.
I am a full-time student, I work PRN, and I also volunteer.
+ more bio informationMy sister and I were huddled on the floor of the tiny bathroom that was located between our two bedrooms. Our bathroom was tucked away from the rest of the house and offered the most privacy, so it was often our place of refuge in the tiny house. We could hear our parents screaming at one another, like they've done a thousand... More..
I held Jacob's hand as he slept and my eyes drank in the sight of him. I studied his facial features closely, trying to commit every single detail to memory. I never wanted to forget an inch of him. He was sleeping deeply now and the pain medications had finally given him some relief. After several rounds of failed chemothera... More..
I was thirteen-years-old the day I met my husband, Brian. At the time I had a big crush on his best friend, Tim. I don't remember what I thought about my husband when we met or what we had to talk to about. The only thing I do recall is running back to give him a huge hug before I got on the bus to head home. When I started my job over a year ago, I was brand-new to the nursing field and completely inexperienced. I work on the teleme... More..
Thirty years ago we welcomed my baby brother, JM, into the family. I can still remember peering through the nursery window as the nurse rolled the baby cart containing my brother over to where we could see him.
