: About Me

I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Mississippi when I was a small child. While growing up as child, I always enjoyed writing. When other kids in my class had a different opinion about writing, it never bothered me. If the assignment was a long report, I had no problem. As crazy as it seemed while attending school, I looked forward to writing. I started to write poetry when I was a teenager as well. When a Poetry assignment came up in my Literature class, I was thrilled.

At the age of 19, when I was 7 months pregnant with my only son, I returned to school and achieved my GED. During this time, I got a job as a waitress at a truckstop. While trying to make ends meet, my unborn son gave me the strength to carry on. Still today, I always try to focus on the positive and good things in life.

I have always enjoyed writing. Writing Poetry is my favorite. I wrote my first childrens' story at the age of 8. I never had it published though. I quit writing for many years and recently started to brush up on my skills.

My goals are to achieve and accomplish recognition for my work in the future that lies ahead.
