My name is Kathy. I have been writing ever since I was twelve years old. My English teachers through the years have said that I was a gifted writer and should pursue a career as a writer. Upon graduation from High School, I went to college for a Bachelor's in Communication Arts. It was my dream at that time to become a famous journalist and make a difference in my part of the world. After college, I discovered that breaking into the journalist field was difficult and that I would have to rethink my career goals.
As a writer I have a published a movie review in "Moody Monthly" and written some advice columns for a local paper. It has always been my goal to see my work in print and have my writing not just be entertaining but make a
difference in someone's life. I would like to be able to say that "I am published". I write for pleasure and even if I never am published',I will continue to write.
A Helpful Stranger Chapter One Driving into town, I couldn't get over the small size of the place. The sign outside the city limits said population 4500. Compared to Chicago, that's pretty small. It really did have a lot of buildings that lined the road. It must be around lunchtime because there are a lot of people walking on the sidewalks. Nervously I looked around.
