I am a pushing 60 woman; I am a mother of two wonderful children, a registered nurse and a passionate home improvement bug. I like to write; perhaps I should be more disciplined but I am a student of Charlie Whited (Miami Herald) and Celestine Sibley (Atlanta Journal Constitution) both of whom caused everyday issues to become important by their excellent wordsmithing.
I love animals ( dogs and cats), crossword puzzles, gardening and being a rehab nurse. I worked in critical care for years and years; I finally decided that being a hero in the face of dwindling staffing was not for me. Now I use all my skills to help the most unfortunate among us regain a semblance of normal life.

The biggest mistake most parents make is to think that they need to learn how to deal with their children. When I was growing up, Dr. Spock was the Bible for parents. I have no idea what the bible is today. I was never interested in what any of the experts had to say. Each child is a unique individual. There is no cookie cutter formula. Have Dr. Spock or Joe Schmo, PhD met your child? Do they know you?
