Far Away When all is quiet and still and true, I sit, I sketch, I think of you, I close my lids and think anew, I know the phone will bring you near, but, uncertainty mirrors fear, My pencil shapes your chiseled chin, My fingers encase your soul within, My eyes are blurred with unshed tears, My blessed love, my tortured dear, ... There are many shades of black, Many shades of grey, When I look through the window it is raining, It is always raining, Grey clouds scudding through grey skies, Grey people hurrying home, Grey buildings and grey cars, Grey streetlights and grey dogs, Grey faces and grey voices, Grey coats puled over grey bodies, I watch from... Pack your bags. Go on then, if you must, Take up your bag, bite the dust, Hit the high-road,take a left, Don't think that I'll be left bereft, And don't give me that sorrowed look, You know I'm not the only cook, And make sure you close the gate, Don't give me looks full of hate, Look, you can't pack like that, And no! You ca... More..

You were a thorn pressed deep inside, You left a chasm metres wide, You made me cry with bitter pain, You made me doubt that I was sane, But now you're gone and time goes on, There are no hopes to wish upon, As sure as sun greets darkened night, As sure as shade returns to light, I carry on, on life's broken path, I carry on,... Drowning. The sea is ever close, always in my head, So much so, just like a shell placed against the ear, It roars disapproval at my resolve, And just as the tide follows tide I listen to the call, Of course I try to remain strong, pretend all is okay, But in the stillness of night I hear the sea again, The waves crash at my d... Relationships & Family > Love & Lust Signs of someone falling in love

A friend once declared that she could see that I was in love with a guy, much to my astonishment, without my even mentioning his name. From all our mutual friends she could pick out the one that I was fixated with at the time. When I began to blush and protest that she was mistaken, she just laughed and said it was obvious. I... You call to me through starlit sky, I cannot heed; not if I try, Your silver fronds invade my brain, You make me doubt that I am sane, I feel my pulse begin to beat, I feel alive; I feel the heat, You beckon me with wicked light, This is a battle I cannot fight, And so I stand beneath your gaze, As mortals sleep in silent ha... No,leave the curtains drawn, the light will hurt my eyes, No, don't say no-more, you know it will be lies, Perhaps a last black coffee, just like you made before, Then slip out quietly;go softly through the door, When the house is quiet; when the leaves caress the pane, That's when I can wish you safely, yes, safely, home again... Religion & Spirituality > Pagan & Earth-Based Religions Testimonies: Why I am Pagan
8 of 45

I come from a village in Wiltshire in England that around thirty years ago was a small community of either Methodist worshippers or mainly Church of England followers. I regularly attended Sunday School and was a member at one time of three choirs. I remember very clearly the time when my Sunday School teacher asked me to ope... More..

As dusk settles on dusty lairs, As little feet caress the stairs, As the cold wind starts to howl, You start to weave; a webby cowl, At first your kin are sweet and small, At first you pitch on darkened wall, At first I shrug; tis no matter, But then your friends invade and scatter, I turn on light and there you are, With le...
