Years ago I learned firsthand just how important it is to be ready for the unexpected when driving. I was driving back to my home when a snowstorm unexpectedly arose. Very near my final destination I went around a bend in the road when suddenly the snow that had accumulated in a very short time forced my car to begin to skid.
