About me - Heidi Christian Rockwell

About me

I love writing, it is my passion, my outlet. I have been writing my whole life it seems. I just really got serious about it this year, now that I finally have the
freedom and time. I love to read, I would live in a library and be perfectly content. Usually when I go to the library I'll check out a least 25 books. I read every last book.

After writing for my high school paper, I didn't do anything with my writing except for personal things, then I wrote for a neighborhood paper. It was hard to find the time and energy being a single parent for years.

Photography is also dear to me, mostly nature and things that inspire me. I think that pictures speak and tell stories. Sometimes, I see things that put me in awe, like how beautiful the earth and sky are. The magic of things that grow and animals.

Autism is an issue that concerns me. I have an affinity for these special misunderstood people. I have both family and friends that deal with it on a day to day basis. I have a nephew, Sebastian, that was diagnosed just a few years ago. I adore that child. It is my wish that we find a cure.

It is my intention to write articles that you will appreciate. I welcome your comments, feedback and invites.

The slave Ships came from Italy, France and Spain. The Dutch were involved as well. They first came to America and captured Native Americans. They were looking for routes to China and came to the New World. Then they went to Africa and many other countries and captured more people and sold ...
