A native of Central Texas, writing is a favorite pastime and something that has always come easy for me.
For over 20 years, I worked in the finance arena and in the later part of my career, was a high-level finance executive.
I'm not the typical accountant - I'm both left-brained and right-brained!
An excellent public speaker, I relate well to all types of audiences and can speak/write on any topic. I have composed proposals, speeches, manuals, reports, studies, budgets, policies, procedures, legislation, contracts.
In my position as CFO of a major state agency here in Texas, I successfully testified before legislative committees and managed a budget in excess of $1 billion dollars. I'm fast on my feet and effective as a persuasive speaker.
I owned my own successful businesses for financial consulting and professional recruiting. As part of those roles, I developed marketing campaigns and materials, proposals and techniques to win business. I am a closer!
I'm both analytical and creative. Disciplined and free-thinking. I am Archimedes, Socrates, Renoir and Mickey Mouse!
I hold a bachelors degree in Accounting and am a member of MENSA, the High IQ Society.
I retired this last year due to disability. There are lots of things I can no longer do easily, but I'm learning to appreciate the things I can!
The opportunity to write, share information and inspire thought, is a pleasure. Thank you!
