About me - Laura Seddon

About me

Laura Seddon recently embarked on a career of freelance writing. She has lead a life of varied and interesting experiences. She has lived in both rural and urban environments and sees advantages and drawbacks to both.

She has worked at many jobs; picking peppers in southern Ontario, construction, new car sales, freelance graphic design, retail management and administering and managing a midwifery clinic with a half-million dollar budget.

Throughout her many work experiences, raising her seven children has been her true vocation. In connection with her family, Laura has been active in volunteering at her children's schools, coaching fun-ball leagues, and just recently is learning how to be a good "hockey mom".

Never much of a conformist, Laura is now looking forward to marrying her partner of 15 years, Stuart.

Laura has faced many challenges in her life, including agoraphobia, two children with severe illnesses (asthma and leukemia) and the loss of her mother to a tragic fire. Despite, or maybe because of this, she strives to be a positive and upbeat person. Her faith in God has sustained her, as has the love and antics of her children and extended family.

Her advice to the world: "Live life now; tomorrow is promised to no one."

Laura is currently living in Toronto, Canada, with Stuart and her youngest son, Stevie Ray. Also sharing their abode are five goldfish, a well meaning but none-too-bright corgi named Bruce, and a feral cat referred to as The Dolman of Elas, who occasionally deigns to let one pet her.

She attends school full-time, and lives in a glorified closet with no heat. While I can't help but admire her independent spirit, I am doubtful about her wisdom. However, like most seventeen-year ol...
