HELLO! BUENOS DIAS (GOOD MORNING!)OR BUENAS TARDES (GOOD AFTER NOON!) OR BUENAS NOCHES (GOOD EVENING)!...
My name is Rocky Escobedo. My formal first name is Rogelio. I was born in Eagle Pass, Texas. It is a city on the United States-Mexico border across from Piedras Negras, Coahila, Mexico located on the Rio Grande between Laredo and Del Rio, Texas, WHERE "THE FENCE" IS GOING TO BE BUILT.
My date of birth is January 7, 1946 (I am a baby bumer, I mean boomer). That makes me 62 years of age; but I feel (and look) like twenty five! I have to show my I.D. every time I buy beer. Isn't that nice! I speak both English and Spanish fluently, at least I believe so. I am married to Yvonne Cervantes Escobedo and have four beautiful daughters and one grandchild! The three oldest daughters are my stepdaughters. I consider them to be my own daughters since we raised them since they were babies.
I am the only one in my family who graduated from high school in 1966 and from college in 1974. I hold a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement and Police Science from Sam Houston State University, in Huntsville, Texas.
I have worked as a police officer for five years, a justice of the peace for 12 years, and a county judge for eight years. I have taught in the high school for a total of eight years and in a junior college for well over thirty eight years. I also have a chemical dependency certificate from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas and worked as a drug abuse counselor for five years.
I served in the United States Marine Corp as an infantryman (where boys grow into men overnight)during the Viet Nam war in 1967 and received the Purple Heart Medal.
I am very excited about Helium and the opportunity to write.

Our freedom is constantly being threatened by two major forces: one internal and the other external. The internal force naturally is our own government. To illustrate what I mean, I would like to use the following analogy: picture a snake eating itself; it starts at its tail and continues toward it own head. Soon, the snake will eat its own head. The body of the snake represents our freedom. The snake's head represents our government. Our government's threat to our own individual freedoms has been mildly, if not strongly, activated by the reaction to terrorism and the incoming flow of ille...
