Hello Members and Readers of Helium,

My name in Irish is: Ellin-Maura Ni Bheachain, also known as: Eibhlin.

My name in English is: Ellen-Mary Behan, also known as: Eileen.

I was born and raised in Dublin Ireland.  I have lived in Germany and United States of America on and off my adult life.

I am living home in Dublin Ireland since 2003.  I am only now starting to settle back into Ireland again.

I write because I like to.  It started off as a hobbie and in school was a good way of keeping up the grade when my subject were written in prose contents.

The items I write for Helium are items of interest for me to learn more of in researching and writing in articles and then my love for writing poems.

Writing is something I always told myself I would work on and develop it some. I joined the Helium site as I liked the concept and ideas.  I find it a great start for me to know what it is I am good at writing and what I need to improve myself in writing.

Have been slacking off lately but was gathering research for short stories to clarify the characters in my book of short stories.  Let my rating go down and losing stars is letting the gains of selling go low, low, low.

This year 2010 hope to sell some of the published stuff by promoting the site and polishing my stuff up.

I, Ellen, believe that every 10 years you evolve into something better with the trials and errors that we live and learn from.  I know what gain and lost is and have learn't to get on with it and use the learning in writing in fiction.

Helium will always be a great outlet for me to be able to improve my style and become a better and more professional writer. Time will tell. In the meantime I am enjoying the venture of the writing on line and its challenges, mistakes and all.

I write on Helium for releasing a lot about myself and as good council to me said before, "it is good to be in a writers workshop so to be able to learn to express yourself". 

"Writing about yourself is a good outlet and good for releasing what sometimes, you did not know was a lock inside of you.  Or something or someone that had a hold on you in breaking free or starting again".

Writing can unleash a lot from your inner thoughts and mind that you tought you had forgotten or was just a dream.  Be true to yourslef and the writer in you will remain.

It does work and I am now nearly 2 years writing on Helium from what started as a hobbie.

Its like a calling out to me and allows me to express myself. It is a a great escape and enjoyment for me.

James Joyce. He kept on writing even though he had to go abroad to be published and be known as a writer first.
