I have five children; they range in age from 16-24 years. My oldest son is in the Army, and just finished a 15 month tour in Iraq. Wesly is happy to be back in Germany. My oldest daughter, Patricia, is in her second year of college for nursing, dual admission with E.C.C. and U.B. My daughter, Sara, is attending Nyack as a freshman(outside New York City) for secondary English education. Sebastien and Rachel are still in high school.
I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education from Buffalo State College and completed my Masters in Curriculum Development and Reading at Medaille Graduate School. I have taught Pre-Kindergarten, Sixth grade and Kindergarten. I have also worked in first grade and fifth grade.
I presently teach Kindergarten and love it. What was once a seemingly non-academic year for children is now an exciting time in which children learn to read and write, make sense of numbers, explore other cultures and experiment to learn different scientific concepts.
I enjoy writing fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. I have been a writer from the time I could hold a pencil. My earliest memory of trying "be a writer" was when I was five years old and my mother called me, asking what I was doing in my room. I said, "I'm writing a book." In actuality I was sitting at my desk copying "Little Men." I soon learned how to write what was inside of me and through reading literature, not copying it, I have grown as a writer and hope to continue to improve.
My passion is ...
children
My first job ...
waitress
My best moment ...
Still to come, I hope.
"Unrequited" A kiss remembered, rolled over in my mind, a stone smoothed by rushing waters. A smile memorized, set to music lilting melody played over again. Eyes still seen, hypnotic dark caverns hidden torment. A heart cold no love just misperception.
