: About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom of three wonderful children, one boy and two girls. My son is the oldest at 3 , then my 2 year old daughter, and my 2 month old baby girl. I do have my hands full but I have a very supportive and helpful husband. After graduating high school as Valedictorian, I married my soul mate Danny. We met through his brother and grandparents three years before this and knew we were meant to be.
I started community college that fall and after my first year transferred to Southeast Missouri State University. There I studied pre-med. I wanted more than anything to be a mom so in 2004 we had our baby boy. I put school on hold for awhile with every intention of going back but I never have. Our daughter came along 13 months later.
We moved to northern Illinois but that didn't work out so now we have moved back home. We just had a third and final baby in June. We couldn't be happier. I am now ready to focus on my career and so here I am. I am working on my first novel and in the meantime writing articles.
I love reading and writing. My passion is Ireland. I have never been there but there is just something about it. It's as if it's pulling me there. I feel connected to it like I belong there. Anyway, so I read everything about it I can get my hands on. Someday I will get there. I love to study alternative medicine, homeopathy, and to read about new medical findings and studies. Historical fiction, fantasy, chic lit, and classics are my three favorite genres to read. Terry Goodkind is my all time favorite writer for fantasy, Diana Gabaldon for historical fiction, and Louisa May Alcott and Jane Austin share that spot for classics.
Someday I hope to be as successful as they are in my writing career.

Why I write ...

I write to express myself, to inform, to share, and to entertain.

My first job ...

My first real job was as a medical secretary at a hospital. I loved it but wanted to stay at home with my son.

My best moment ...

I have four best moments. The first was when I got married and the rest are when I saw my children for the first time.

Using our local weathermen has become a laughing joke. On Wednesday they might say the weekend weather will be fair and when the weekend gets here it will probably rain. My local weather station seems to have a problem even knowing when a current storm will be getting to my area. The storm is always come and gone before they say anything about it, that is if that do at all.
