I'm a freelance writer of 30 years, writing mostly on small business, farm, livestock/horses/pets, and related topics as well as increasingly about country music. Aside from writing full time I do limited photography to go with the articles mostly livestock and horses. I've done articles, web content, newsletters, educational lessons, business profiles, fliers, brochures and more! Life is about learning.
I write not only here but on Associated Content, Elance, Constant-Content, ezines, triond and independently and my work has appeared on many websites both with and without credit. I've been published in a wide range of print magazines from Midwest Living and Western Dairyman to Small Farmer's Journal and Countryside. I am currently wrapping up to release an ebook and will be completing two more, one of real life horses stories and another of farm stories.
I have a multiple dog home and have had a wide range of breeds over the years. I've also over 30 years working with horses and farming, thus those topics are done from experience also. Experience is the best teacher and sometimes the best lesson is don't repeat it! I've worked hands on with off track race horses, show horses of several kinds, pleasure horses and more.
National Top 10 dairy goats and Rex rabbits have been part of things also. Be it the "stars" or the ordinary they've all been special. Currently raise Rex rabbits as well as rare breeds American Chinchilla and Giant Chinchilla.
I write for a living - I get to write sometimes to help others. Sometimes it crosses but I've never been paid for a review - anything done was what I really thought.

When you start keeping any kind of livestock you get to see the worst part of dogdom and get to be accused of hating dogs. I love dogs, which is obvious with several of my own, most taken in because others dumped them out. But they're home, in their home not running out causing trouble.
Ten years ago a heeler chow cross kept coming and harassing goats. I'd chased him off multiple times. I finally chased him all the way home with my pickup and warned the owner about keeping him penned up as the law allows me to kill their dog for attacking livestock.
