I am a father, lover of animals, husband, and pretty ordinary fellow from Texas, transplanted to Erie, PA. I am an active Amateur Radio operator and a fan of technology and computers. I love to travel (any way and by any means possible), and, while I don't get to do enough of it, I have traveled to about half of the U.S. states, Canada, Germany, and Ukraine. I am happy to share my usually humorous, sometimes sarcastic outlook on life as a blind father, guide dog user, and pretty much anything else that may strike my fancy this week.
My passion is ...
Technology and its benefits, especially as related to disability
I know too much about ...
Useless trivia
My parents always told me ...
To write, to do well in school, and I could succeed at whatever I wanted
My childhood ambition ...
Changed too often.
My favorite memory ...
Life has been so good it's hard to pick one. Besides, I need something to write about, don't I?
Why I write ...
Because it's easier to express my thoughts and feelings in writing, so I have more time to figure them out. At least, that's one reason, right now.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Books by Cory Doctorow and Spider Robinson, as well as short fiction on Escape Pod and Podcastle
My first job ...
Was one of my coolest jobs, a summer training gig at the IRS where I got to play with spiffy Unix machines!
My best moment ...
Best at what, and in what context?
My inspiration ...
