About me - Jonathon Stern

About me

Hello. I'm Jonathon Stern, known as Jonty. I'm a Welsh Studies graduate, I'm half Jewish and I was a finalist on "Big Brother" (UK) in 2007. I'm a member of Heritage in Wales, the National Trust for Scotland, the Society of Friends of Richard III and the Museums Association. I love swimming, eating, drinking, dancing (badly I'm told but it's fun!), watching "Doctor Who" and "Desperate Housewives"... and, of course, writing. You can find me on facebook as Jonty Stern.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

History

I know too much about ...

Telephone boxes

My parents always told me ...

That I'm too old to be sending mouldy toast through the post to utility companies when they annoy me.

My childhood ambition ...

To be a train driver.

My favorite memory ...

It happened at college and there was a boy and a girl in the room with me at the time but that's all I'm saying!

Why I write ...

To escape from the world; to exercise my brain; because I LOVE it!

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I'm currently reading "The Black Knights" by Steve Ash; I'm watching a lot of "Big Brother" because I was on it last year and they're getting me to do a blog on it this year; I'm listening to an amateur American "Doctor Who" production.

My first job ...

A paper round.

My best moment ...

When I gave a five-minute talk on the Battle of Hastings on national TV.

My inspiration ...

My family; my teddy bears; this scary (but sometimes wonderful) world we live in.
