Hi! My name is Joani Dando-Schreiber and I have been a Nail Technician for just about 17 years. I do what I love and I love what I do. I have competed in nearly 150 manicure, nail art, fantasy nail art and acrylic competitions. I've won a few. :-) In 2001 and 2002, I represented the United States and the NCA at HairWorld in Las Vegas. For those of you that are not familiar with HairWorld, it is basically our professions Olympics. It was two years of hitting the floor running, constant traveling and gruelling hours of work. I LOVED IT! I believe if you google (pretty good when a search engine becomes an adverb!) my name as "Joani Dando" you will see some of our team accomplishments. I have taught Nail Technology for seven years with a 100% passing rate at State Boards. I have owned several salons. One being a full service salon/day spa with 15 employees and one being a nails only salon. Well, sort of, anyway. That's how it started then we added massage and facials and spray tanning. I am now semi retired and work two days a week just to keep my hands in the field, so to speak. I still love what I do and do what I love, only not as much. I have been published and interviewed by magazines such as Nails, Nail Pro and several other salon publications. I've also been an industry related staff writer for our local newspaper and what a blast!
Well, that's about all there is to know about me for now.
